1.   Have any books been written about Mr. Firth or his work?
Yes. Most titles are out of print but are listede here so you can hunt for them at various books sites or flea markets

Titles include:
Making of Pride and Prejudice, Sue Birtwistle, Penguin, 1995 ISBN 014025157-X  This book covers all aspects of production. Mr. Firth discusses his portrayal of "Mr. Darcy" in the chapter, "A Conversation with Colin  Firth". It is reported that this book will be re-issued.
